WRITE-IT! Competition

Well done Rebecca.

Rebecca from Helston, Cornwall, triumphed amongst literary hopefuls nationwide with her account of 'The Perfect Belgian Waffle'.  The competition, set up by the Guild of Food Writers and sponsored by Sacla'; your favourite irresistible Italian food people, invited budding young writers between the ages of 15 and 18 years to write a 750 word piece on any food related subject.

Rebecca chose to write about her favourite dish from her local cafe at Mullion Meadows.  The judging panel, all well established in the world of food photography or journalism, were impressed with the creative flair and deliciously evocative imagery, which demonstrated a real passion for good food.

Catherine, from Reading,  was runner up with her passionate piece entitled 'The Perfect Slice' in homage to the tradtional sandwich cake.
