Mottos and Mantras

  • Passion. Always make it your main ingredient.
  • Stuff all you can into life, and your red peppers.
  • Ideas are like antipasti -  there to be shared and picked at.
  • The dining table should be the centre of every home.
  • Live life with your glass half full.
  • Put everything you've got into everything you do.
  • Garnish.  It can put the extra into ordinary.
  • If it's worth saying it's worth repeating.
  • Keep your knives sharp and your mind sharper.
  • Just one word about pesto - lots.

Our mottos and mantras are really important to us. Aside from many of them being useful, they're also great fun. If you or a friend or family member have a favourite cooking mantra we'd love to hear it! Just let us know below and we'll publish the best ones here.

  • Fine words butter no parsnips (means it's easy to talk but talk is not action)
  • You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs.

  • Don't make a good omelette wait for you. Wait for it instead.
